{"id":31,"date":"2019-04-11T15:43:13","date_gmt":"2019-04-11T14:43:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/snooker.hinstock.com\/?p=31"},"modified":"2022-08-29T12:53:57","modified_gmt":"2022-08-29T11:53:57","slug":"club-constitution-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/snooker.hinstock.com\/?p=31","title":{"rendered":"CLUB CONSTITUTION 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Active at the Jubilee\nRooms, Chester Road, Hinstock, TF9 2SZ<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Name<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The club will be called Hinstock\nSnooker Club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Aims\nand objectives<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The aims and objectives of the club will be:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>To offer opportunities to play\nSnooker and Pool in Hinstock<\/li><li>To promote the sport of Snooker\nin Hinstock <\/li><li>To ensure a duty of care to all\nmembers of the club<\/li><li>To provide all its services in\na way that is fair to everyone<\/li><li>To ensure that all present and\nfuture members receive fair and equal treatment<\/li><li>Membership<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All members will be subject to the regulations of the\nconstitution and by joining the club will be deemed to accept these regulations\nand codes of conduct that the club has adopted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Members will be enrolled in one of the following categories:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>full member<\/li><li>junior member (under 18)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Membership fees will be set annually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2022\/23 \u00a320 Full, \u00a35 Junior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fees will be paid by annual subscription every July or pro rata \u00a32 per month from month of joining.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Officers of the club<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The officers of the club will be:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Chair<\/li><li>Honorary Secretary<\/li><li>Treasurer<\/li><li>any other identified position<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Officers will be elected annually at the Annual General Meeting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Committee<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The club will be managed through the Management Committee\nconsisting of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a>Chair, Treasurer, Secretary plus\nthree full members on the committee<\/a>. Only these posts will\nhave the right to vote at meetings of the Management Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Management Committee will be convened by the Secretary\nof the club and held no less than three times per\nyear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The quorum required for business to be agreed at Management Committee meetings will be three.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Management Committee will be responsible for adopting\nnew policy, codes of conduct and rules that affect the organisation of the\nclub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Management Committee will have powers to appoint\nsub-committees as necessary and appoint advisers to the Management Committee as\nnecessary to fulfil its business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Management Committee will be responsible for\ndisciplinary hearings of members who infringe the club\nrules\/regulations\/constitution. The Management Committee will be responsible\nfor taking any action of suspension or discipline following such hearings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Finance<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Club Treasurer will be responsible for the finances of\nthe club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The financial year of the club will end on: <a>31<sup>st<\/sup> January<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An statement of annual accounts will be presented by the Treasurer at the Annual General Meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both treasurer and secretary can be contacted with regard to any financial matters pertaining to the administration of the club\u2019s affairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Annual\ngeneral meetings<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Notice of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be given by\nthe Club Secretary. Not less than 21 clear days\u2019 notice to be given to all\nmembers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The AGM will receive a report from officers of the Management Committee and a statement of the accounts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nominations for officers of the Management Committee will be\nsent to the Secretary prior to the AGM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Elections of officers are to take place at the AGM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All members have the right to vote at the AGM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The quorum for AGMs will be eight full members. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Management Committee has the right to call Extraordinary\nGeneral Meetings (EGMs) outside the AGM. Procedures for EGMs will be the same\nas for the AGM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Discipline\nand appeals<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All complaints regarding the behaviour of members should be\nsubmitted in writing to the Secretary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Management Committee will meet to hear complaints within\n<a>ten<\/a> days of a complaint being lodged. The committee has the\npower to take appropriate disciplinary action including the termination of\nmembership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The outcome of a disciplinary hearing should be notified in\nwriting to the person who lodged the complaint and the member against whom the\ncomplaint was made within ten days of the hearing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There will be the right of appeal to the Management Committee following disciplinary action being announced. The committee should consider the appeal within ten days of the Secretary receiving the appeal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From 2022, the Jubilee Room is no longer solely the Snooker Club facility, although the snooker table area is restricted. Thus, all full members have access via the coded \u201ckeysafe\u201d mechanism to the building. This must not be shared with non-members. The key must be returned to the \u201ckeysafe\u201d after locking the premises on departure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No copies or spares are permitted.Members using the facilities are responsible for their own (and a guest\u2019s) behaviour and the security of the premises. Members are encouraged to report any transgression of the building\u2019s policies to the club Secretary which will be passed to the Parish Council via the Jubilee Room committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The facilities must be maintained and kept clean. All rubbish to be bagged up and removed from the premises after use. Non-automatic heating and lighting to be switched off or to standby when vacating the premises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Dissolution<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>A resolution to dissolve the club can only be passed at an\nAGM or EGM through a majority vote of the membership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the event of dissolution, any assets of the club that\nremain will become the property of all current fully paid members to be divided\nequally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Amendments to the constitution<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The constitution will only be changed through agreement by\nmajority vote at an AGM or EGM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Declaration<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hinstock Snooker Club hereby adopts and accepts this constitution as a current operating guide regulating the actions of members with effect from 1<sup>st<\/sup> July 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NAME: Jonathan deakin<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>POSITION: Club Chair<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NAME: Barry Kelly<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>POSITION: Club Secretary <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NAME: Pete Trow<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>POSITION Club Treasurer<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Active at the Jubilee Rooms, Chester Road, Hinstock, TF9 2SZ Name The club will be called Hinstock Snooker Club.
